Bwindi in September
Bwindi impenetrable National Park is a home of the endangered mountain gorillas which are almost half of those remaining in the wild .
The park is located in Kabale , Kisoro and Kanungu districts at the border of Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo.

The forest was declared as a national park in 1991 and as a UNESCo world heritage in 1994 .

Tourists will book their gorilla permits at Uganda wildlife Authority or through a trusted tour operator .

How to reach Bwindi
By road
Tourists will travel by car from Kampala via Kampala- Masaka – Mbarara – Kabale road and thus takes 9 to 10 hours to reach Bwindi .
Those from Kigali , Rwanda will travel via Cyanika border and will take about 4 to 5 hours.
By Air
Tourists will travel by plane from Entebbe international airport or kajjansi air field and land at kisoro airstrip which takes about 1 and half hours . Tourists will then use a car to reach Bwindi.
