This trail provides an immersive experience, highlighting the Batwa’s traditional ways of life, including their hunting techniques and social interactions in the forest before they were displaced due to the establishment of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

The trail is located near the Nkuringo and Rushaga sectors.

Since the Batwa were the original inhabitants of Bwindi Forest before their eviction, they settled in areas near their former home.

  • 30% of the funds generated are used as revenue for the Kisoro Government.
  • 70% of the funds are used to support NCCDF.
