How Gorilla Trekking is Done in November
Gorilla trekking starts very early in the morning at 7 am at the park headquarters with a briefing about the rules and regulations.
Tourists are then divided into groups of 8 people and led by a well-trained park ranger to trek gorillas.
Trekking takes about 2 to 7 hours, but once gorillas are located, tourists are allowed to spend only one hour with them.
While trekking, tourists can also spot other species like insects, plants, mammals, and birds.

How to Access Bwindi
- By Road: Tourists can travel by car for about 9 to 10 hours to reach Bwindi. The journey involves exploring more of the country before reaching the park. Tourists from Kigali can access the park via the Cyanika border, which takes about 4 to 5 hours.
- By Air: Tourists can take a flight from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield to Kisoro or Kihihi Airstrips. The journey usually takes 1.5 hours.
