Nkuringo Gorilla Permits: Booking, Costs & Trekking Tips

Nkuringo Gorilla Permits – The Nkuringo sector is one of the four sectors of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where gorilla trekking takes place. Bwindi is located in southwestern Uganda in the districts of Kisoro, Kabale, and Kanungu.

The park is highly known for gorilla trekking because it was established to protect the endangered mountain gorillas, making it a major tourist destination.

The Nkuringo sector is located in the southern part of the park and is highly recommended for young, energetic, and hiking enthusiasts who want to experience more than just gorilla trekking.

This is due to the rolling hills in this sector, which are challenging to climb as you search for mountain gorillas.

The Nkuringo sector has three gorilla families: the Nkuringo gorilla family, Bushaho gorilla family, and Christmas gorilla family.
