Uganda Visa – Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa, widely known for its stunning beauty and diverse wildlife species.
The country is home to the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and various national parks, such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is famous for its mountain gorillas, and Murchison Falls National Park, which is home to the Big Five mammals: leopards, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, and elephants.

Types of Visas in Uganda
Below are the types of visas in Uganda:
- Uganda Tourist Visa: This visa permits travelers to come to Uganda for tourism, medical treatment, or family visits. It is a single-entry visa that allows one to stay in the country for up to 3 months.
- Diplomatic and Official Visa: This visa permits diplomatic, official, and service passport holders to enter Uganda for official business or duties. It is also issued to ordinary passport holders who are exempted from paying immigration fees.
- Transit Visa: This type of visa is granted to those passing through Uganda on their way to another country, allowing them to stay in the country for up to 7 days.
- Multiple Entry Visa: This visa allows tourists to enter Uganda multiple times and is issued for periods of 6 months, 12 months, or 24 months. However, it does not permit employment in Uganda.
- East Africa Tourist Visa: This visa is issued by three East African countries: Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda. It is for tourism purposes only, and the starting point must be the issuing country. The visa allows a stay of 90 days and is not renewable upon expiry.
Uganda Visa Requirements
- Valid passport: A passport with at least 6 months of validity is required at the time of application.
- Completed application form: An application form must be completed, either online or at a Ugandan embassy.
- Recent passport photos: Applicants must submit 2 to 3 passport-sized photos.
- Proof of payment: Proof of visa fee payment is required.
- Health certificate: Proof of yellow fever vaccination is mandatory.
- Invitation letter: An invitation letter may be required for business or student purposes.
