Bakiga Lodge
Bakiga Lodge is a 3 star accommodation facility in Ruhija sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park a hallway to start gorilla trekking.
The lodge was built overseeing the ancient forest of Bwindi thus giving true African experience to guests as they explore and adventure different wildlife species.
The lodge is located at a close distance from the Ruhija Gorilla trekking meeting point taking just a 10 minute drive .
The lodge offers solicitous care to all guests and fantastic local and international food .
Bakiga lodge comprises of 12 palatial cabins which are self contained with all modern facilities and set up .
The lodge is a non profit accommodation facility owned by the Bakiga community project.

Nature walks
Tourists are guided by park rangers through the trails and carry out a walk to Mubwindi Swamp and have a glimpse at flora and fauna .

Visit to Bakiga Community
Tourists will visit the Bakiga community where there welcomed and engage in many activities like singing and dancing exploring the cultures and traditions of Bakifa among others.
Gorilla habituation
Tourists are guided to carry out habituation which is the making of gorillas used to human presence .
Each gorilla habituation experience costs about USD 1500 and is carried out for more than 4 hours.
How to get there
Tourists will travel from Kampala or Entebbe to Kabale and then head to Bakiga lodge for about 10 hours and the entire journey is 340km .
Other tourists who can afford air transport will book flights from Entebbe international Airport or kajjansi air field to kisoro air strip .
