The Busingye Gorilla Group originates from the Kahungye Group. It was formed due to misunderstandings within the mother group, Kahungye, which led to their separation and the creation of the Busingye group in 2012.
The group is one of five families that inhabit the Rushaga Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
It consists of nine family members, including 1 silverback, 5 blackbacks, and 3 infants.
Just like the Bweza Gorilla Group, game rangers speculated about a possible reunion between the Busingye Gorilla Group and its mother group, Kahungye, but this did not happen.
It should be noted that the Busingye Gorilla Group is made up of peaceful and lovely members. The trekking route to this family is adorned with breathtaking scenery, including views of the Virunga Mountains and the rolling hills.
