The lodge was founded by Gordon Kwikiriza a resident of Nkewnda Village in Buhoma region of Bwindi where the lodge is situated .
The founder Gordon kiwkirisa was enthusiastic about nature and this enabled him to develop his community and improve people’s lives by building the Gorilla Bluff lodge .
Gorilla Bluff lodge was constructed in 2020 on an elevated area and the accommodation facility has 5 guest cottages offering elegant enclave snd snug shelter in the heart of nature .

The family cottage is a comfy shelter consisting of 5 beds 2 double rooms and all necessary modern room facilities .

Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking is the most carried out activity in Bwindi impenetrable National Park .
Mountain gorillas are wild animals and must be treated with respect and tourists must follow the rules and regulations for a favourable trekking experience. A gorilla permit costs about USD 700 per person per trek . Children below the age of 15 years are not allowed to go trekking.
Community walks
Tourists will carry out community walks in the communities surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for example Bakiga and Batwa . Tourists will explore the different standards of living and modes of life of these people . The walk takes tourists through banana and coffee plantations giving a wonderful experience.
Nature Walks
A guided nature walk before or after gorilla trekking in Bwindi will enable tourists to explore the different wildlife species of Bwindi .
The wildlife species are 340 bird species , 200 butter fly species , 11 species of primates among others.
