How to Access the lodge
By Road
Tourists will travel from Kampala or Entebbe and heard to kabale and then to Rushaga where they connect to the lodge for about 10 hours and they are advised to use a 4 wheel drive vehicle .
By Air
Tourists that can afford air transport will book a flight from Entebbe international Airport or kajjansi air field to kisoro air strip and then drive to the Rushga gorilla havens lodge .
Activities
Bird watching
Tourists will have a chance to watch many bird species in their natural hab as they fly and sing .
Bird species include ; Dusky twinspot , white eyes slaty fly catcher , yellow whiskered green bul , Brown capped pigeon , Giant kingfisher , Crowned horn hill , Blue – headed sunbird , bar tailed trogan among others.
Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking starts in the morning with a briefing at the head quarters and all tourists are required to be with a gorilla permit . Tourists will then be guided by park rangers to the wild and trek gorillas in the four sectors of the park .
Nature walks
Tourists will follow the trails into the forest to explore and adventure different wild life species like trees , other primates and also led to places where they view the beautiful scenery of neighbouring sreas.
Gorilla habituation
Gorilla habituation is when gorillas are trained to be used to humans and this is also a very common act in Bw3 Each gorilla habituation experience costs about USD 1500 per person.
