Ride 4 a woman Guest house is located in the northern region of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Buhoma sector a home of the endangered mountain gorillas .

The Guest house was started by the organization of Ride 4 a Woman aimed at supporting African girl child in Bwindi , and this is evidenced as the revenue obtained is used in maintaining welfare of the women.

Ride a Woman foundation started by hiring 4 bikes to tourists who were interested to go biking around Bwindi impenetrable forest.

The Guest house is just a few minutes drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest for tourists to start their trekking.

The Guest house employs more than 60 women to work in the project .

Ride 4 a woman guest house has comfortable rooms both single and double that offer tranquillity to guests and overlooking the forest where a fresh breeze is experienced

Activities

Sewing

Tourists will engage in sewing classes that offers them amazing experiences at the lodge . Each sewing class costs Ugandan shillings 30,000.

 

Biking

Biking enables tourists to access plantations , farmland and neighbouring villages. This activity takes about 2 hours to ride across the entire area.

 

Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking is a true tourist relaxing activity for all those who Visit Bwindi .

The park has about 20 gorilla families and 8 permits are sold for trekking each family . Gorilla permits cost USD 700 per person per trek and only individuals above 15 years are allowed to trek.

 

Bird watching

Bwindi is a birders paradise because of the unique bird species available in the park .

Bird species include ; black billed turaco , black bee eater , Regal bird , kivu ground thrush among others

 

How to access the lodge

Tourists will travel by road from Kampala or Entebbe to kabale for about 10 hours and then head to the lodge

Those that can afford air transport will book flights from Entebbe international airport or kajjansi air field and fly to kihihi air strip and then connect to the lodge with in a few minutes drive .
