Gorilla Valley Lodge is a 3-star lodge located in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, near the Rushaga ranger station.

  • Gorilla Habituation: Gorilla habituation involves training gorillas to become accustomed to human presence. This activity begins with a briefing by a park ranger and can last a full day. People are grouped into smaller groups of four, spending four hours with a gorilla family.
  • Gorilla Trekking: Gorilla trekking is a major activity in Bwindi. Tourists receive a briefing on rules and regulations before starting the trek. A maximum of eight people is allowed per gorilla family. A gorilla permit costs about USD 800.

Bird species include: Black Bee-Eater, Black-Billed Turaco, Regal Sunbird, Grauer’s Broadbill, Handsome Spurfowl, Mountain Oriole, Kivu Ground Thrush, Rwenzori Batis, and Shelley’s Crimsonwing.
  • Nature Walks: Nature walks offer tourists the chance to explore the beauty of the forest.
  • Batwa Cultural Experience: The Batwa cultural experience allows tourists to learn about Batwa culture and enjoy traditional performances such as singing and dancing.
