Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking is Bwindi ‘s top activity and tourists must secure a gorilla permit at a cost of shout USD 700 from Uganda wildlife Authority . The forest habits 20 gorilla families all of which are open for trekking by tourists in the four sectors of the park .
Gorilla trekking is done in the morning hours because gorillas are usually very active and its easy to trek them.
Bird watching
Bird watching is one of the most adventurous activities as tourists discover more bird species and offering them memorable experiences .
Bird species include ; Dusky tein spit , Regal sun bird , montane oriole , strange Weaver , Rwenzori batis , handsome francolin among others.
Gorilla habituation
Mountain gorillas being the major tourist attraction in Bwindi , Uganda Wildlife Authority has decided to open some families for gorilla habituation . Gorilla habituation is when gorillas are taught to be used to human beings . The activity is very interesting and takes more than 4 hours at a cost of about USD 1500.
Nature walks
Tourists will hike in the forest trials as they adventure and explore the flora and fauna in the forest.
How to get there
Tourists will travel by road and air from Entebbe or Kampala.
Tourists travelling by road will spend 10 hours in the road from Entebbe or Kampala to the lodge.
Tourists using air will book a flight using a domestic air line like aero link and fly from Entebbe or kajjansi air field and land at kisoro air strip where they connect to the lodge by car .
