This 4-day tour is designed to provide you with two encounters with the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Bwindi has four sectors: Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Nkuringo. You can choose to track two families in the same sector or in different sectors.
This package can be customized for either a luxury gorilla trekking experience or a budget gorilla trekking experience.

Detailed 4 Days Uganda Double Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Forest
On the first day of your 4-day Bwindi Double Gorilla Tracking Tour, you will be picked up as early as 6:30 am by your safari guide and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda.
The journey lasts between 8–9 hours by road or less than 2 hours by chartered flight.
During your journey, you will have brief stopovers at the Equator for photography and coffee, followed by lunch in Mbarara before continuing on to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Day 2 – First Gorilla Tracking (Buhoma)
On the second day of your 4-day Bwindi Double Gorilla Tracking Safari, you will rise early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for the 7:30 AM briefing.
Afterward, you will venture into the forest to visit the Mountain Gorillas.
The trek can last between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements the previous day.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will be given a full hour of interaction to bond with them, take photographs, and observe their daily activities.
Afterward, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Second Gorilla Tracking (Ruhija)
On the third day of your 4-day Bwindi Double Gorilla Tracking Tour, you will trek a different Mountain Gorilla family in another sector of Bwindi, specifically the Ruhija sector.
After the trek, you will retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Transfer Back to Kampala
On the final day of your 4-day Bwindi Double Gorilla Tracking Tour, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala, either to catch your departure flight or to return to your accommodation.
The drive takes 8–9 hours with a lunch stop en route, or less than 2 hours by chartered flight.
Optional Activity – Batwa Trail: If you opt for a chartered flight, you will have fewer hours of travel, allowing you to participate in the once-in-a-lifetime cultural Batwa Trail activity in the morning.
