Kiho Gorilla Safari Lodge is located in Muhanga, within the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, in southwestern Uganda, houses over 20 gorilla families.

Ruhija sector, in particular, is home to three gorilla families: Oruzogo, Bitukura, and Kyaguriro.

The lodge’s prime location within the heart of Bwindi Forest allows tourists easy access to gorilla trekking trails.

The lodge can be reached from Kampala or Entebbe via road, with a journey of approximately 10 hours along the Kampala–Masaka–Mbarara–Kabale road.

The distance from Kampala to the lodge is about 350 km.

For guests preferring air transport, the lodge is about 1.5 hours from Entebbe or Kajjansi Airfield by flight to Kisoro Airstrip, followed by a vehicle transfer to the lodge.
