Kiho Gorilla Safari lodge
Kiho Gorilla Safari lodge is pin pointed in Muhanga in Ruhija sector of Bwindi impenetrable National Park a home of the endangered mountain gorillas .
Bwindi impenetrable forest National park is found in south western Uganda habiting over 20 gorilla families , particularly Ruhija sector has 3 gorilla families which are Oruzogo family , Bitukura family and Kyaguriro family .
The lodge is in the heart of Bwindi forest connoting that tourists can easily access the gorilla trekking trails to begin this activity .
The lodge can be reached at from Kampala or Entebbe via road transport for about 10 hours using Kampala – Masaka – Mbarara – Kabale road . The distance from Kampala to the lodge is about 350km .
The lodge can also be accessed by air transport for about 1 and half hour with a flight from Entebbe or kajjansi air field to kisoro air strip and then picked up by a vehicle to the lodge .
The lodge provides cozy and comfortable rooms offering breathtaking views of Bwindi forest with a soothing breeze from the forest.
The lodge has More than 10 tranquil cottages built with local timber and other materials divulging the true African architecture.
