This is significantly more than the 1 hour you spend with them during normal gorilla tracking.
This experience can only be done in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the Rushaga Region.
A gorilla habituation permit costs $1,500 each, making it less favorable for clients on budget gorilla tours.
Please note that there is no gorilla habituation experience in Rwanda; you can only enjoy the normal gorilla tracking experience on your Rwanda safaris.

This 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Tour is designed for clients who want to spend 4 hours with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Detailed 3-Day Gorilla habituation Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
On the first day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari, you will have an early breakfast and meet your guide from our Africa gorilla trekking company.
You will set off at 6:30 AM, heading south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
There will be a brief stop at the Equator, a line that separates the northern and southern hemispheres of the earth.
Here, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, take memorable photos, and then proceed to Mbarara for lunch before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Day 2 – Gorilla Habituation Experience (Rushaga – Bwindi)
On the second day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari, you will spend 4 hours bonding with the gorillas, observing their behavior, feeding them, and interacting with them.
Please note that only 8 people are allowed to participate in the habituation experience each day, divided into two groups of 4 people, ensuring a more intimate and exceptional encounter with these gentle primates in their natural habitat.
Since you will spend most of the day in the forest with the gorillas, it is advisable to have a hearty breakfast and carry a packed lunch along with drinks.
You are expected to return to your starting point before dusk.
Day 3 – Transfer back to Kampala and Departure
On the final day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari, you will embark on a 9-hour road trip back to Kampala to catch your flight home.
If you opt for a chartered flight, the journey to Entebbe will take only 2 hours.
The road option gives you another opportunity to pass by the Equator.
Upon reaching Kampala, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your Uganda safari tour.
