The East African Tourist Visa allows travelers to access Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya for tourism purposes only.
This visa can be issued at the embassies of the respective countries or applied for online.
Once a person has this visa, they are free to begin their tourism activities from the issuing country.
The East African Tourist Visa is a multiple-entry visa with a validity of 90 days and is not renewable upon expiry.
East African Tourist Visa Requirements
- Valid passport: The passport must have at least 6 months of validity at the time of application.
- Completed application form: The applicant must complete the application form online or at the embassy.
- Recent passport photos: The applicant must submit 2 to 3 passport-sized photos.
- Proof of payment: A receipt showing that the visa fee has been paid should be submitted.
- Health certificate: A certificate proving vaccination against yellow fever is required.

Application Process
- Log in to the immigration portal to begin the application.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Choose the visa type.
- Complete the application form.
- Upload the required documents, such as a copy of the passport, passport photos, etc.
- Make online payments using Visa or MasterCard.
- A receipt will be sent to confirm payment via email.
- Visit the immigration office for bio-metric capture, bringing all uploaded documents, the passport, and the payment receipt.
