On the first day of your 4-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari, you will be picked up early in the morning by our guide and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Along the way, you will briefly stop at the Equator, which separates the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, for photography and coffee.
You will then drive to Mbarara for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi Forest for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the second day of your 4-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari, you will head into the forest to track Uganda’s mountain gorillas.
This is the day you’ll bond with your long-lost cousins in an experience that lasts for a full hour.
However, gorilla tracking requires attending a 7:30 AM pre-trek briefing at the park headquarters, where you will be allocated into groups before heading into the forest.
The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on how long it takes to find the gorillas.
After trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you might spot the famous tree-climbing lions.
Upon reaching the lodge, you will retire for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Wildlife Viewing Safari
On the third day of your 4-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari, you’ll start with an early breakfast and head to the Kasenyi Area of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an amazing wildlife-viewing experience.
Here, you will have the opportunity to see elephants, antelopes, bushbucks, and more.
Afterward, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch before heading out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon.
This adventure will reward you with sights of hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and other mammals, as well as various species of birdlife.
Day 4 – Transfer to Kampala
On the final day of your 4-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari, after breakfast, you will prepare for the long journey back to Kampala.
Along the way, there will be several optional stops, and you can choose to make another stop at the Equator if desired.
Once you reach Kampala, you can either be dropped off at your hotel for an overnight stay or transferred to the airport to catch your flight home.
