White Water Rafting in Bwindi – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda in the districts of Kabale, Kisoro, and Kanungu.

Bwindi is a tropical rain-forest with a tropical climate. It has heavy rainfall, ranging from 1,400 mm to 1,900 mm, and temperatures ranging from a minimum of 7 to 15 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 20 to 27 degrees Celsius.

Bwindi is famous for mountain gorillas, making it a popular destination for gorilla trekking worldwide. It is home to about 400 gorillas living in the 4 sectors of the national park.

The park is managed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, the body in charge of national parks in the country. It covers an area of about 331 square kilometers in the highest parts of the Kigezi Highlands.

The park is also home to other wildlife species, such as mammals like elephants, buffaloes, chimpanzees, blue monkeys, and duikers. It also has bird species like the Rwenzori turaco, Rwenzori batis, grey crowned crane, black-billed turaco, and black bee-eater.

From Entebbe or Kampala, Bwindi is 540 kilometers away. It takes about 9 to 10 hours to reach the park by road and 1.5 hours by air.
