Day 1 – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will meet a guide from our Uganda tour company and transfer to western Uganda driving through Fort Portal. You will also make certain stopovers along the way for lunch and to buy some African snacks before proceeding with your final journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge, Ndali Lodge or Primate Safari Lodge for luxury stay. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2 – Chimpanzee Tracking
Rise to an early morning meal of breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a short briefing meeting before heading to the forests to meet the Chimpanzees. You will spend 4 – 5 hours in the forests including a full hour encounter with these primates. From here you will return to your lodge for lunch, relaxation and then head for a Bigodi Swamp walk in the afternoon – an activity that should reward you huge sights of bird species.
Optional Activity: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. If you look to spend a whole day with the Chimpanzees, you can opt for a Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX) instead of the normal Chimpanzee tracking. However, opting for a habituation experience means missing out on the interesting but adventurous Bigodi Swamp walk as the experience will take a lot of your time.

Day 3 – Transfer Back to Kampala
On this day you return to Kampala but visit a few cultural sites like the Karambi Tombs and Toroo Palace en route. You will also have your lunch en route before arriving in Kampala in the evening to catch up with your departure flight. This marks the end of your Uganda vacation.
